You cannot purchase an additional policy or make an extension once you've already started your trip. However, Chubb Travel Insurance offers an automatic extension of the travel period (a maximum of 7 days) in the case of any unexpected events, such as adverse weather, natural disasters, mechanical breakdowns of the aircraft, changes in aircraft size, being rejected from boarding due to a full flight, or sickness or injury of the insured person.

- An unexpected strike or riot that is beyond the control of the insured person.
- The permanent residence of the insured person is lost or damaged due to a natural disaster occurring within one week before the departure date.
- The insured person receives a summons to testify in court as a witness during the planned period of the trip or is served a warrant by the court.
